Last week we held our training for the 2009 Summer Internship. While only a dozen interns made the trip this year we had over 20 people show up for the training. It was a very challenging time for many of these people as they were challenged to live out the faith they have been professing.
One of the best parts of our training is when we ask God to baptize people with His Holy Spirit. On Sunday night we gathered around a small fire in our backyard. We sang praise and listened to testimonies from many of the young people in the group. Three of the interns received this baptism. It is a life changing experience when God falls on you.
This was a great way to start the summer. Over the next twelve weeks these future leaders will seek consecration in their lives as they experience God in new ways and learn to minister outside their comfort areas. Please continue to pray for these young people.
